The Moor's ultra-chic Fashion Show retured to Plug nightclub on Wednesday, February 24, with a Hollywood twist.
This popular event once again raised around £3000 for Weston Park Hospital Cancer Appeal.
 


The Moor celebrating the Children's Festival

Abbey Lane School pupils Lowri Anderson, aged 9, and Ewan Anderson, aged 6, were the first kids to try Sheffield City Centre’s new Haiku Poetry Trail which was unveiled on The Moor as part of the launch of Sheffield Children’s Festival.

More than 600 haiku poems, created by children aged 5 to14 from 9 local schools are being exhibited for the duration of the event. The poems have been created during workshops held in schools and hosted by poets Liz Cashdan, Linda Lee Welch, Susan Shaw and Desiree Reynolds over the last 3 months.

Sheffield Village Fete

Come to The Moor on Sunday, 18 July, 2010, and enjoy a traditional village fete experience, complete with star attractions Peppa Pig and Heeley City Farm animals. Enjoy the brass band and local dance acts and try your luck on the Bucking Bronco or score a goal at the Penalty Shootout.

‘The Moor Village Fete’ is set to be a fantastic fun day for the whole family and celebrates the transformation of the area with a £2.5m investment in paving, lighting and seating. The event also includes DJ, kids rides and much more.
