One of the biggest festive entertainment line-ups in The Moor’s recent history made the area’s lights switch-on the number one attraction for youngsters this Christmas.

Sunday’s event offered everything from real reindeer and husky dogs to Peppa Pig lighting up the breath-taking Christmas tree.

There was also a live nativity play, snow machines, a giant walkabout snowman, kiddies’ rides, brass band playing Christmas carols and more.

The event helped signal an upturn in the fortunes for The Moor with work well underway to transform the area with new lighting, seating, artwork and planting.

Planning permission has also been granted for the new markets building.
