Soak up the rays on the Moor this Summer
If you’re looking for summer beach fun, then why not head down to the Moor from Monday 27th July to Saturday 2nd August ,as we will have our own beach, complete with real sand, deckchairs and hopefully lots of sunshine blazing above.
The fun starts at 10 am and runs until 4 pm everyday and there will be plenty to keep the whole family entertained including; Punch and Judy shows, face painting, appearances from children’s characters and a knobbly knees contest to name but a few.
Sandra Barley, Centre Liaison at the Moor, said: “This year’s beach on the Moor promises to be bigger and better than before, because we’ve been promised such a nice summer! There are plenty of free events for the whole family to get involved in from face painting and sand castle building to a car rally.
“Everyday our young visitors will also get the chance to meet a different special guest from Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Fifi to the crew of the Black Pearl.”
In honour of Yorkshire Day on 1st August the events and activities will take on a distinctly Yorkshire theme giving visitors the chance to try their hand at, amongst other things, flat cap Frisbee. Younger kids will have a treat when Winnie the Pooh and Piglet make a visit and the older ones can test their nerve on the bucking bronco.
