Sheffield Women Enjoy A Night Of Fashion...And More!

The 11th February saw the MoorSheffield host its fourth annual fashion show, which raised over £3,000 for Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.
The exclusive women only event was hosted by Real Radio’s Guy Harris and showcased the latest fashions from Moor retailers Debenhams and Melody as well as fashions from local independent designer Joanne Colton, who runs the boutique fashion shop Yes Orange.
Sandra Barley, MoorSheffield Centre Liaison Manager, said: “Wednesday’s fashion show was a fabulous evening. I was pleased to see so many Sheffield women come out to support not only The Moor and a local charity, but also the wider community.
“Everyone who took part in the show – from the lighting and sound technicians to the models – gave up their time free of charge. Even the Rotherham Titans strutted their stuff on the catwalk and gave the ladies a real treat!”
Players from Sheffield United also supported the evening, posing for photographs, signing autographs and helping to sell raffle tickets.
Cat Newman from Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity said: “From the policeman who greeted the ladies on arrival with flowers and chocolates to the make-up artists from Sheffield College, the show was truly a community effort. It’s very touching to see people take time out of their busy lives to raise money for their local cancer hospital.”

The catwalk show was choreographed by Beverley Pinder from Glam Productions and featured dancers from the Hype Dance company and fashion from students at Hillsborough College and Castle College’s media make-up team. The models’ hairstyles were created by Dreamworks salon on the Moor and all food was provided by the Zing Vaa Chinese restaurant.
