Santa's charity grotto now open

Sheffield’s only city centre Santa’s grotto launched on 22 November, at 11am in the bandstand on The Moor.

With all proceeds from the grotto going to charity ‘Cash For Kids’, every visitor will also be doing their bit to help the region’s disabled and disadvantaged children at this time of year.
Sandra Barley, centre manager at The Moor, said: “All the shops on The Moor are pulling together and really getting behind Christmas this year. We have nearly 40 stores ready for Christmas with many opening on Sundays and late on Wednesdays.

“I’d like to think we offer the most varied shopping in Sheffield and everyone here is bending over backwards to provide people with a great experience over the festive period.

“We think it is important to not only have shops open, but to provide that little bit extra. Christmas is a magical time of year for kids, but sometimes going round the shops can be a little boring for them. That is why we have provided the grotto and other entertainment to make sure the excitement continues.”

Sheffield’s only city centre Santa’s grotto will be open 11am to 3pm every weekend from 22 November right up until 21 December.
