A Christmas dream came true for a Sheffield mother this week, when she won over £500 worth of festive goodies in MoorSheffield’s Win Christmas competition.

41 year old Mandy Perkin from Firth Park was worried that there would be little Christmas cheer after she had to pay vets’ bills when her dog Sooty developed diabetes. But now she’s looking forward to Christmas with all the trimmings, after sending in the most creative description of why she likes to shop at The Moor.

“It’s just amazing to win,” says Mandy. “It means that we can have Christmas now - a real big celebration. I’m still in shock.”

Mandy, who will be joined by for Christmas partner Trevor, 20 year old son Matthew and his girlfriend Stacey, won a huge range of presents, from cuddly toys, to a hamper and an abundance of gift vouchers – all supplied by shops and market stalls on The Moor.
