Moor & Moor events this spring

Spring brings a host of events on The Moor, with everything from a celebration of women to pop-up classical music, to the return of annual family favourite.


22nd + 23rd September, Mobile University


29th October, Out of This World incorporating Little Monsters Halloween Party on The Moor
Street entertainment, craft activities, caged Mummy, street music, scary stories, fancy dress catwalk, spooky face painting, dance shows, giveaways, children's rides and scare creatures - an opportunity for children to get dressed and scared!


19th November, Christmas Light Switch on - The Moor's Christmas Party
Best event of the year with Father Christmas and his reindeer, live nativity, giveaways, brass bands and lots of children's activities including character to switch on The Moor tree




Past events this year included: 


6th & 12th March, She Fest on The Moor
The Moor taking part in SheFest, a city-wide festival marking International Women’s Day on 8th March.

11th March, Women&Moor
Women&Moor showcased female talent outside Theatre Delicatessen including performances from Sheffield University Samba Band, HYPE Dance, Janka Kormos & Xania, a female rapper who fuses hip-hop, electro & tap dancing.

18th March, Classical Sheffield
The Moor took part in Classical Sheffield, with pop-up performances outside Debenhams. The sound of marching bands, brilliant brass & other local talent will provide the soundtrack to your shopping trip from 11am until 2pm. 


23rd April, 999 Fun Day on The Moor
In conjunction with the National Emergency Services Museum there was a huge display of emergency vehicles on show, bouncy castle, mascots, maze, climbing wall. Fire and police cadets gave fire safety advice and tips - opportunity for children to get their finger prints taken!


27th May, Sheffield Food Festival & Taste Moor
Celebrating world food and culture with dance, music, storytelling, tastings and cookery demonstrations


4th June, TotFest
Building on the success of last year - fun and activities for families with younger children. Dance, art, music, sport, storytelling, face painting, giveaways, children's rides, hands on activities


1st July, The Friends of Sheffield City Giants
The Friends of Sheffield City Giants will be celebrating the Giants' 25th birthday on Saturday 1st July 2017 with a Day of Dance in the centre of Sheffield there will be other local teams dancing too.


1st July, Chance to Dance
This festival has been hosted in Sheffield for many years - this year part of it will be on The Moor - demonstration of dance


22nd July, Tramlines on The Moor
Performances by local musicians

1st August, Celebrating Yorkshire Day


6th August, Classics on The Moor
The Moor will be filled with classic cars and bikes
