Full Monty & Moor to celebrate classic film
Wednesday 30th August 2017
The 20th anniversary of the release of one of the nation's favourite films was marked in style on The Moor.
The Full Monty, the 1997 hit comedy about a group of unemployed Sheffield steelworkers who form an unlikely striptease act, was celebrated with a special showing at The Light.
Ahead of the screening, organised in partnership with The Light and BBC Radio Sheffield, the Unite the Union brass band performed songs from the film on The Moor, much to the delight of guests and passing shoppers.
Before the screening, lucky members of the public who had claimed the free tickets got to chat to Radio Sheffield hosts as well as actor Paul Barber, who played 'Horse' in the film.
